How to invite the Lieutenant Governor to your event

The Lieutenant Governor attends many events throughout the province each year.  If your organization is celebrating a milestone event and you would like to invite the Lieutenant Governor to attend, please write to the Lieutenant Governor as follows:

            The Honourable Philip S. Lee, C.M., O.M.
            Lieutenant Governor of Manitoba
            Room 235 Legislative Building
            Winnipeg, MB   R3C 0V8

The salutation should be:  Your Honour

Please state the reason for the invitation, the date and time and any special requests that you may have regarding the Lieutenant Governor’s attendance, ie. presentation of awards, bringing greetings, etc.

If possible, your invitation should be sent to the office two to three months in advance of the date of the event.
