Disorders of Childhood Development
Actions are already being taken to support children and families affected
by disorders of childhood development. Their Honours have met with agencies
and individuals to build relationships. They have established an advisory
board to help with special projects, visits, and community liasons.
They have visited programs and activities,
and have spoken at events.
His Honour has acknowledged the fine research, support, education, and
therapy done in Manitoba over many years by dedicated, knowledgeable parents
and professionals.
The office of the Lieutenant Governor has established this website. Pictures
and speeches from his visits are featured. Press
releases will be published at this site. There will be links to other
websites for families, friends, and professionals needing more information
or direct support for their day to day lives with affected children and
adults. Upcoming events
will be found on these websites: - speakers, conferences, and celebrations
sponsored by the Manitoba organizations dedicated to issues around FASD
and ASD.

the Lieutenant Governor. Their Honours, members of their staff and advisory
board, are committed to careful planning for effective events, and they
