LIEUTENANT GOVERNOR TO CELEBRATE
QUEEN'S BIRTHDAY
Manitoba’s Lieutenant Governor, The Honourable John Harvard, announced today that a special reception will be held on April 21st at Government House to mark the Queen’s 80th Birthday.
As many as 50 Manitobans who also turn 80 on April 21 will be invited to the reception.
The Lieutenant Governor said the event is an opportunity to pay tribute to our sovereign and Manitobans who were born on the very same day as the Queen.
Manitobans turning 80 on April 21st, 2006 are asked to call the Lieutenant Governor’s office (945-2753) to have their names put on the list. The first 50 callers will be accepted. Each invitee will be permitted to bring a guest.
The deadline for reservations is March 28th, 2006.
